Recertification Requirements for Certified Fall Prevention Specialist (CFPS)

Maintaining your certification is easy.

The renew your certification for one year, simply complete at least six (6) clock hours of post-graduate training that focuses on fall prevention and/or fall risk assessment, submit the required documentation and make payment on the re-certification application fee.

Recertification Process:

You can recertify your credentials for one (1), two (2) or three (3) year by completing six (6), twelve (12) or eighteen (18) CE fall prevention or fall risk assessment related hours respectively. To have your recertification application reviewed please complete the following steps:

Step 1 - Satisfactory completion of 6, 12 or 18 CE fall prevention or fall risk assessment related hours since original certification date.

A list of suggested training courses is found below. Note: Trainings are offered by 3rd party organizations who are happy to help answer any training - specific questions you may have, as well as assist you in training purchases.

    *For Recertification by equivalency, please submit a copy of the training’s title, speaker, outline and clock hours completed to info@agingcert.com for review.

Step 2 - Make payment on the re-certification application fee of $49.99/1 year, $79.99/2 year or $99.99/3 year (select Certification Renewal from list).

Step 3 - Submit copies of the following documents to info@agingcert.com or mail at the address below:

  • Completed training certificates
  • Copy of your professional license

Re-certification training hours need to have been taken in the time since you were last certified or recertified.
